2 INTRODUCTION  MINIT was founded in Brussels, Belgium in 1957. T ALON -MINIT was the first shoe repair and key cutting company to adopt a heel- bar approach to the shoe repair business, and was also the first to conveniently locate its shops in major retail areas and shopping centres.  MINIT currently operates in 17 countries throughout Europe, Australasia, Canada and Asia, and has approximately 3100 shops employing our 6000 Team Members worldwide.

4 SUCCESS STORIES WITH MISTER MINIT  There are 6 skilled Migrant working for MINIT in SA.  Most of them are on our TOP 10 TSS (Total Service Satisfaction) list.  One of them is MINIT Australasian Champion for coming first in TSS amongst stores in Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia and Singapore.  Most them were able to send their kids to Good Private Schools and have bought houses.  Are able to develop good relationship and network amongst the locals, who shop at our stores.  Working for MINIT also provided them with the opportunity of finding jobs for their partners.

Also product and services offered, and availability of different career paths with in the organisation.  Had clear and specific goals about their future within the organisation.  Clear and transparent info about previous employment.

7 GOOD CV. A)Long term previous employment with one employer. B)Details of similar duties carried out in previous employment and relevance to the one applying for. C)Clear and precise details of about how they will be an asset for Mister MINIT.

8 BAD CV  No capabilities or strengths highlighted.  No info about the job applying for – NO RESEARCH  Has changed 10 jobs in last 10 years. Different job every year.  CV has no relevance to the job applying for.  Too much of focus on the background of country the applicant has come from, their race and region. AN EMPLOYER HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS

9 How to succeed in the job  Give your best.  Be punctual  Don’t call in sick just because you had hangover  Be a good team player  Listen to your trainer or employer  Build relationship with your customers or clients and fellow workers.  Blend in so you look part not apart  Be honest and loyal.
