3 E ND RHYMES rhymes that are made by pairing the last word in one line with the last word in another line. Gives a poem a light-hearted feel

4 I NTERNAL RHYME rhymes that are made when the last word in a line is echoed by the word placed at the beginning or in the middle of the following line.

5 M ETER a regular pattern of accented and unaccented syllables. Scanning the marking of the meter

6 T ONE the way the speaker feels about the subject. the attitude of the speaker For example, a poem could be serious, playful, or sarcastic
