EXPANDING THE PRO-LIFE ADVOCACY A THERAPEUTIC MODALITY FOR HIV/AIDS AND DENGUE FEVER

We express concern over the high cost of health care in the country today. A great majority of our people can hardly have access to medicines and doctors. Some have never been able to see a doctor in their entire lives. Consequently, the people feel neglected and abandoned. Primary health care is a primordial responsibility of any government. It must ensure provision of medicines, hospitals, medical facilities, and the necessary medical personnel to address such government concern. Relevant to this is the importance of research and development which will help government in finding ways and means to discover new technology to address the bourgeoning health needs of our people.

The Fabunan Antiviral Injection (FAI) has been developed as a cure for HIV/AIDS and Dengue, two dreaded killer diseases. The promotion and government support for this cure is vital if we are to address government’s concern for its people’s health. It is along this direction that we call on government to help, encourage, and motivate efforts at institutionalizing and promoting the FAI. It is only through government support that will eradicate diseases that poses a mortal threat to our people.

We hold further that government and the private sector work hand in hand to ensure success of such efforts. Government by imposing strictures bereft of any rational perception of the situation can only set back the efforts of the private. Position Letter composed by Prof. Armin Santos, PhD. 13 Worldwide HIV/AIDS (Last updated July 2012) More than 34 million people now live with HIV/AIDS. 3.4 million of them are under the age of 15. In 2011, an estimated 2.5 million people were newly infected with HIV. – 330,000 were under the age of 15. Every day nearly 7,000 people contract HIV—nearly 300 every hour. In 2011, 1.7 million people died from AIDS. 230,000 of them were under the age of 15. Since the beginning of the epidemic, more than 60 million people have contracted HIV and nearly 30 million have died of HIV-related causes. 14 Global Dengue ( September 27, 2012) Today about 2.5 billion people, or 40% of the world’s population, live in areas where there is a risk of dengue transmission see WHO/Impact of Dengue. Dengue is endemic in at least 100 countries in Asia, the Pacific, the Americas, Africa, and the Caribbean. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 50 to 100 million infections occur yearly, including 500,000 DHF cases and 22,000 deaths, mostly among children. Content source: Centers for Disease Control and Prevention: Page last reviewed: July 28, 2010/Page last updated: September 27, 2012 http://www.cdc.gov/dengue/epidemiology/index.html The situation of dengue in the world can be summarized as follows: 2.5 billion persons at risk, 60 millions cases per year, and 30 000 deaths per year. The four dengue serotypes, DEN-1, DEN-2, DEN-3 and DEN-4 are nearly human-specific. 15 Dengue in the Philippines Philippines: Dengue fever exceeds 80,000 cases, may reach 100,000 According to an ABS-CBN TV Patrol news report Sunday (in Tagalog), the Department of Health says the number of cases of the mosquito-borne viral infection stands at 80, 745. Of that total, nearly 500 people have died because of the deadly virus. But with the kind of system we have in statistics, we suspect the numbers are much higher. We believe that our dengue situation has rolled into a National Crisis. 17 Fil-Am Tech., Inc Our proof of concept and mechanism of action are proven through in-vitro studies with a U.S. University research team, and informal clinical studies in South Africa and the Philippines.

Fil-Am Tech., Inc Mission To improve the lives of sufferers, and their families who support them, by distributing the Fabunan Antiviral Injection ( FAI ) globally.

Dengue Fever FAI Treatment VS Hospital Treatment

FAI TreatmentHospital Treatment Consultation/Examination/Lab work Series of two injections 15 min interval per day for 3 days A series of indefinite lab work NO IV’sIV’s NO transfusionsBlood transfusions: May not be ready and available. Meanwhile, family waits and searches for blood donors NO confinementConfinement: Agonizing days and can last for weeks Cost: Between P3-P5 thousand Patient is functional in an hour Fully recovered in 3 days Cost: Between P20-P100 +++ thousand depends on the length of stay in the hospital and other services

HIV/AIDS FAI Treatment VS Hospital Treatment

HIV/AIDS FAI Treatment VS Hospital Treatment FAI TreatmentHospital Treatment Consultation/ Examination/ Lab Work Series of injection for a minimum of one year for full treatment Lifetime intake of various oral and injectable drugs NO IV’s, NO confinement, No transfusionsIV’s, confinement and transfusions may be necessary due to health complications caused by immunity deterioration. Patient’s health is restored enabling him/her to do her usual activities Patient’s health is at risk due to susceptibility to other viral infections disabling him/her to do other activities.

HIV/AIDS FABUNAN ANTIVIRAL INJECTION ( FAI ) VS. ANTIRETROVIRAL DRUGS Fabunan Antiviral Injection ( FAI ) Antiretroviral Drugs Increased potency due to bypassing the metabolism in the liverLactic acidosis leads to high levels of acid in the blood, which can be fatal. It can result from the use of NRTIs. Long-lasting nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain; unusual fatigue, shortness of breath, rapid breathing, enlarged or tender liver, Cold or blue hands and feet, abnormal heart beat, weight loss Directly bio transformed in the bloodstreamHyperglycemia occurs with higher-than-usual levels of blood sugar, called glucose. It is a symptom of diabetes. However, you can have hyperglycemia without having diabetes. Protease inhibitors, growth hormone drugs, and hepatitis C infection can increase the risk of this side effect. Increased urination, excessive thirst or hunger, unexplained weight loss Can penetrate the blood brain barrier at the sanctuary sitesHyperlipidemia is an increase of fat in the blood. These fats include cholesterol and triglycerides. This condition can lead to heart disease and pancreatitis, an inflammation of the pancreas. Some protease inhibitors can increase this side effect. Less or minor transient side effects, with dramatic improvement in each patient condition, including CD4 count and viral load Lipodystrophy is also called fat redistribution. If you have it, your body produces, uses, and stores fat differently. This side effect is associated with the use of both NRTIs and PIs as well as the HIV virus itself. A buildup of fat in the neck or upper shoulders, belly, or breasts, a loss of fat in the face, arms, legs, or buttocks

HIV/AIDS Fabunan Antiviral Injection ( FAI ) VS. Antiretroviral Drugs Fabunan Antiviral Injection ( FAI )Antiretroviral Drugs A much shorter treatment of up to one yearLifelong treatment. The potential for a sterilizing cure, a complete eradication of the virus from the body Skin rashes may range from mild to severe, covering at least 30% of the body's skin surface area. Some are life-threatening. All classes of HIV drugs, including fusion inhibitors, may cause this side effect. This new medicine, comprised of a combination of generic drugs USP, is easy to manufacture, distribute, and administer to large masses of populations Target the enzymes of the AIDS virus, and prevents viral replication. It does not kill the virus in the body. Cost effective and more efficient way to eliminate the virus from the world, and will enable us to create an AIDS free generation. Cases of reemergence occurs upon treatment interruption in the majority of cases necessitating a lifetime of expensive drug therapy with an ever present risk of emerging drug resistance and well-known side effects.

BACKGROUND The Fabunan Antiviral Injection (FAI) is a United States patented medicine for HIV/AIDS, Dengue fever and Influenza using the combination of two generic drugs (USP). FAI has demonstrated the ability to selectively kill actively HIV- infected cells with no toxicity to uninfected cells, and caused elimination of the virus from the body. This technology may establish the foundation of a new class of drugs for HIV/AIDS treatment.

FAI – Fabunan Antiviral Injection This drug combination represents a significant new approach in antiviral research for the discovery of small drug-like molecules with “selective toxicity” (SELTOX) to actively HIV infected cells. This SELTOX assay may be a general mechanism against a number of RNA enveloped viruses, including the other patented medicine for Influenza and Dengue fever, as a therapeutic modality, based on the formulation of other U.S. patented medicine for snakebite and other animal poison.

Dr. Ruben G. Fabunan is a Filipino American scientist and inventor of a therapeutic modality for dengue fever and HIV/AIDS. His invention has not been recognized or was just plainly downplayed because he is a Filipino. For decades, Dr. Ruben G. Fabunan has dedicated his life to search for a cure for these diseases and today, many lives had already been saved and will continue to be saved if only his invention can reach every citizen of the World. Some people just die probably because they just refused to believe in the invention. Or maybe they plainly do not know the existence of the invention because of lack of information dissemination. Or worse, they do not have the financial capacity to pay the services of medical hospital and their professionals. Whatever be the reasons, the right to live should not be limited to chosen or privileged few but should extend even to the lowest class of the society.

Cobranin-F Injection (Former name of FAI) was first tested in the Philippines in 1975 where it cured a severe cobra snake bite patient (the photo shows Dr. Fabunan with his first snakebite patient Mr. Ago S. Raguindin in the Philippines). Later it was successfully used in various other critical situations and ailments. It is also being utilized to treat mosquito-borne viral infections (Dengue fever or virus) in adults and children with high mortality rates because there have been no specific treatments at present. Its effectiveness has been satisfactorily proven as a specific cure to animal poisons, in pain management, also in viral infections of many kinds. 36 IV CONCLUSION The present invention is a therapeutic modality for HIV/AIDS and Dengue fever which is cost effective and more efficient than supportive treatment contained in the text book. It is only in the Philippines and nowhere in the world which had treatment for these illnesses. While Philippines is only a small country in the map of the world, recognizing and supporting this invention can surely save more lives in the future and further make this country an economic giant considering its viability, uniqueness, competitiveness, efficiency and effectiveness.
