Session Etiquette Please turn off all cell phones. Please keep side conversations to a minimum. If you must leave during the presentation, please do so as quietly as possible.

North Carolina A&T State University Tuition Payment Plans NC A&T currently has a 5 pay and a 4 pay plan that is available for Fall and Spring; as well as an Administrative 4 pay and 3 pay plan for Fall and Spring that require administrative enrollment All of our plans are real-time and are based on the student account balance at the time of enrollment. The student must be registered for classes in the current term. You may only have 1 Payment plan per student account. Students or authorized users may enroll in the payment plan. When the student sets up the plan any authorized user can see and make payments toward the plan. When the authorized user sets up the plan the student cannot see or make payments toward the plan. If 2 parents want to make payments the student should setup the plan.

North Carolina A&T State University Tuition Payment Plans Payment plans may be setup using electronic check or credit/debit card. Payments made with electronic check do not have any additional fees. Payments made with credit/debit card are charged a 2.75% convenience fee. You must pay the full initial payment with one payment type. If the student needs to split the initial payment they must be enrolled by an administrator. Initial Payment-is the payment amount due at the time of enrollment. Some plans may require the initial installment plus the enrollment fee be paid at the time of enrollment, while others require only the enrollment fee be paid at the time of enrollment. If a student needs to pay with cash or paper check then an administrator must enroll the student in the payment plan. An authorized user may not be enrolled administratively. Only the student can be enrolled by an administrator. (NC A&T requires the student to sign the paper contract if enrolled administratively.)

North Carolina A&T State University Tuition Payment Plans The payment plan will include all charges billed as long as the detail codes are set up in the plan NC A&T does not allow students to include book allowances or parking permits so these detail codes are not included in the plan. Any memo listed on the account will reduce the total amount of the payment plan. Payment plans recalculate nightly to accommodate any additional charges or credits. It is important that Banner application of payments (TGRAPPL) runs before TouchNet recalculation. The payment plan does not read payments that have not been applied. The enrollment fee is automatically billed to the student account at the time of enrollment. NC A&T charges $40 enrollment for each plan.

Benefits to University Memos are added to the student account automatically at the time of enrollment. (No manually adding memos.) Plan recalculates nightly as charges/credits post to the student’s Banner account. (You no longer need to update memos manually.) Email notifications are sent to students/authorized users each time the plan increases, when a payment is due, and when the payment is late. No overages/shortages at the end of the term. Ability to customize payment plans based on University needs. The University realizes the revenues from enrollment fees and late fees.

Benefits to the Students/Parents Interest Free Makes Tuition more manageable by paying in monthly installments rather than one lump sum. Convenient setup through TouchNet. No worksheets to fill out. The payment plan reads the student’s account and does the breakdown for you. Payments post immediately. Plan updates automatically for any additional charges or credits and sends an email notification.

Additional Information The initial setup of the payment plan is the most complicated and time consuming. For each consecutive term you may copy the current payment plan and update the following as needed: Plan Name and Term. Enrollment Fee and Enrollment Dates. Add new detail codes. Installment dates. Late fee amount. Plan Migration Information. *Once students are enrolled in the payment plan DO NOT make any changes to the plan! Any changes made to the plan will not affect students who are already enrolled.
