2 Sections 1-3 Organize the Three Business Organizations into a Graphic Organizer or a Table Explain the following in the Organizer 1.Define 2.# of Owners 3.Startup Requirements 4.Who takes the Risks/Degree of Liability 5.Who gets the profits (How are profits distributed?) 6.Decision Making/Control 7.Access to Capital/Money to Run the Business (How does the company get money to run the business or expand it?) 8.Taxation 9.“Closing Up Shop” Requirements 10.Advantages 11.Disadvantages A Quiz is required at the end of your project, complete with Answer KEY.

3 Organizing your Project Leader Divide the work evenly among the members Exchange each member’s phone # and e-mail Each person has – A Primary Job – A Secondary Job Their Secondary Job is to check someone else’s work on their Primary Job – Ask each member where they found the information (The book is the best source. The Internet may contain incorrect information.) Each member must send/give a copy of their work to all the other team members. In this manner, the info is not with only 1 person. The Rough Draft containing all required info is due in 3 days by the end of class. The Final Project is due in 5 days at the beginning of class. The info MUST BE TYPED, any photos/graphics contain captions. Period #, Team # and Each person’s name (alpha order) on the 2 nd slide or back of poster. IF on poster, it cannot be smaller than a poster board. IF using PowerPoint, the team is responsible for the compatibility of the file.

4 Project Management If a member is not doing their assigned part, – Notify them in writing what they need to do – Give them a deadline – IF they still have not done their part, notify the instructor. Make sure that all contact info for each member is complete. Do this first! Then divide up the work. Write this on your Team Sheet.

5 Team Sheet: Team #, Period # Leader’s full name- Primary Job, Secondary Job Each member’s full name – Primary Job, Secondary Job Deadline Details: Day and specific time by which each member must get their part to the rest of the team. Ex: Tuesday, 6 pm NOTE: The deadline must be the same for all.

6 Rubric A – Meets all requirements B – Minor mechanical errors (2 max) C – Minor mechanical errors (3-4) D – Content error(s) F – Incomplete/Does not meet requirements *mechanical errors – not content errors, may be spelling, format, …

7 Grading Your team member’s average score on Ch 8 Test will impact your Group Project Grade. Chapter 8 Test will indicate how well each person learned the material. The Group Project grade will reflect how well you conveyed the information (taught).
