2 Line Graphs  Shows a relationship where the dependent variable changes due to a change in the independent variable  Can have more than one line on a line graph  X-axis: independent variable  Y-axis: dependent variable

3 Bar Graphs  Compares information collected by counting  X-axis: independent variable  Y-axis: dependent variable

4 Circle or Pie Graphs  Shows how some amount is broken down into parts  The circular pie represents the total.  The slices represent the parts and usually represented as percentages of the total

5 Tips for Drawing Graphs  Remember to use as much of the graph as possible.  Remember to label the title of the graph. An easy way to title a graph is by using the word versus. Dependent Variable vs. Independent Variable  Remember to label the x and y axis with the name of the variables.
