Turn in notebooks to the front desk Turn in stamp sheets to the class drawer on the front desk Fishbowl discussion to review chapters 1-3 Reading chapters 4-5 If you were absent last class: See back wall for vocabulary pack, bookmark, and chapter 1, 2, and 3 reading questions. Take a picture of your Chapter 1-3 reading questions before you turn in your notebook.

Inner Circle: (Speakers)  Sit in a circle facing each other  When it is your turn, pull a question  Read the question aloud  Respond to the question  Ask if any others in the fishbowl would like to add to your response

Outside the Fishbowl: OBSERVERS  LISTEN  Take notes on new/unknown information (Left side)  Write down comments you’d like to respond to  Write down questions you’d like to ask

 FAQs  Is this for a grade?  Yes. Equivalent to a stamp.  How much do I need to say?  Enough for me to know you understood the assigned chapters.  If I’m on the outside of the fishbowl do I need to pay attention?  OF COURSE! You should write down anything you find helpful or interesting that adds to your understanding of the novel.  This could be a left side.

 Homework  Test on Chapters 1-3 on Friday (A)/Monday (B)  25 questions  STUDY!  Re-read chapters  Review notes  Read/Review Study guide questions  Know characters  3-5 quotes  Reading  Chapters 4 and 5 by 10/23  Complete questions to go with it on a sheet of notebook paper that you can staple in your notebook later.  Be sure to include page numbers for where you found your answers.
