. What is Halloween? 1. What is Halloween? Halloween is a popular American celebration held in many English-speaking countries. Every year, it takes place on October 31st.

2. Traditions: Trick or Treat! Children dress up in costumes and go house to house asking for candy. When they arrive at a house, they say: Trick or treat, Smell my feet Give me something good to eat!” “Trick or treat, Smell my feet Give me something good to eat!” If kids are given candy, they are happy and they leave. If not, they get angry and throw eggs!

Everyone also makes a jack-o-lantern out of a pumpkin. We make them have scary faces!

3. Costumes Kids normally dress up in scary costumes such as: –G–Ghosts –V–Vampires –W–Witches –S–Skeletons –M–Monsters –M–Mummies
