Early College High School/Dual Enrollment Definition of Early College High School: Early College High School is where a school/district offers students  College Prep Courses  Testing support to meet college entrance criteria  Testing(TSI)  Courses where student earn high school and college credit at the same time  An opportunity to earn up to an Associate’s Degree while in high school  Support services to help students and their families with critical decision making  Students can start taking dual enrollment courses in the 9 th grade  All at no cost to the student or family

Dual Enrollment  Offered at all high schools  Most dual enrollment courses are offered only at the 11 th and 12 th grade levels  Testing support to meet college entrance criteria  Testing(TSI)  Courses where student earn high school and college credit at the same time  All at no cost to the student or family  For BISD only 12 th graders are considered dual enrollment students

Early College High School/Dual Enrollment Goals – Students have the following options:  Graduate College Ready – TSI complete  Graduate with a minimum of 12 college credits  Graduate Core Complete – 42 college credits  Graduate with an Associate’s Degree
