2. What is Early College Start? ACC program that allows high school juniors and seniors to earn free or low-cost college credit  Dual credit – college course also meets high school graduation requirement (ex. GOVT 2305)  Co-enrollment – college course not needed for graduation (ex. GOVT 2306)  Tech Prep – articulated technical “credit-in- escrow”

3. What Is Dual-Credit?  FREE or low cost college classes that can be taken while still in high school. (textbooks and supplies are not included)  2 for 1 deal! 1 college class = high school graduation credit + college credit (ex: GOVT 2305)

5. What Classes Are Available?  Every school district is a little different.  Typically students take core classes: –HIST 1301 & 1302 –GOVT 2305 –ECON 2301 –SPCH 1311

6. How Many Classes?  2 classes per semester*  up to 12 classes total

7. WHO Is Eligible?  High school students who are rising juniors or seniors  Students who meet the college entrance requirements

8. What Are The Test Requirements?  10 th or 11 th grade TAKS  ELA = 2200 + 3 on the essay  Math 2200  SAT/ PSAT  Critical Reading + Math = 1070/ 107  CR = 500/50+ and/or M = 500/50+  ACT/ PLAN  Composite score = 23  English = 19 and Math = 19

9. WHERE?  For your convenience, some ACC classes are offered at your high school  For greater options, you may take other courses at any ACC campus or Online

10. WHY?  Save $$$ (up to 1 yr of college)  Graduate from college early  Gain college experience while in high school
