THE STORY OF FOOD

We eat a variety of foods daily.

Our body need energy to move, work or play. This energy comes from food.

We also need food to grow and to fight disease.

Sources of food Plants – fruits, vegetables, cereals, pulses, spices. Tea and coffee. Animals – meat,eggs, milk

 We eat different parts of the plant.  Flower – cauliflower  Roots – potato  Leaves – cabbage. Spinach  Fruits – mango, apple, orange

Some plants gives us medicines like tulsi, mint, neem etc.

Animals also provide food to us like – eggs, meat,honey.
