Naming of CORNET (Corrosion Network). 2006Workshop on sample evaluation and 1 st meeting of the CORNET Task Force, October 9-11, Bangkok, Thailand. Start of exposure at new sites in Asia and Africa

Participants of this workshop Three categories with different experiences can be identified 1.CORNET members with start of exposure at sites in Asia and Africa in CORNET members with start of exposure at sites in Asia and Africa in Potential CORNET members

Objectives for experienced CORNET members Provide an overview of the field of atmospheric corrosion including fundamental principles, practical aspects, calculation of costs and standardisation Review important points on on how to expose corrosion samples Provide knowledge on how to evaluate samples for corrosion attack to prepare for the evaluation starting after the workshop Provide an overview of the methods for corrosion testing including visit to a corrosion laboratory

Objectives for new CORNET members Provide an overview of the field of atmospheric corrosion including fundamental principles, practical aspects, calculation of costs and standardisation Provide knowledge on important points on on how to expose corrosion samples to prepare for the start of exposure after the workshop Provide an overview on how to evaluate samples for corrosion attack Provide an overview of the methods for corrosion testing including visit to a corrosion laboratory
