Global Scholars Diploma What is the Global Scholars Diploma?  A special designation at graduation for meeting required criteria If your student is in the program, they will..  Have an interest in the global economy and cultural studies  Take specific required GHS courses  Complete a cultural experience  Complete course work outside of their regular schedule related to meetings and events attended (see Badge Requirements)

Required Courses Must meet minimum graduation requirements Additional required courses for the Global Scholars diploma include:  Global Issues (one semester) 9 th or 10 th grade AND 11 th or 12 th grade  Exhaust the curriculum in chosen global language  i.e. AP Latin IV, AP Spanish V, or AP French V  Take AP Environmental Science or Environmental Studies

Badge Requirements Students can earn Year 1, Year 2, and Year 3 badges from the Columbus Council on World Affairs and GlobalEd Network based on their participation in their events and corresponding assignments. Eligibility for a badge is based on a point system. Students must earn all three badges during their four years at GHS to earn the Global Scholars Diploma.
