What lies in your future as a mason?

An old proverb “You must learn to walk before you can learn to run.” What does this mean? You must master a basic skill before you are able to learn more complex things.

We all want to be great at something right away. Some things take practice. While you wont be able to immediately build these structures you are about to see, the possibilities are endless with your creativity. Here are some of the structures that are possible with time and commitment from you.

$ Masons start out as tenders. Tenders assist the masons building the structures while they learn about building with masonry materials. Starting pay: $13 - $15 per hour. This includes benefits with most companies.

When you move from tender to mason, your salary can move from $20 per hour…

to as much as $100 per hour depending on the type of job you are working on!

You can be paid good money to be creative.

In the entry level portfolio, you will build 7 brick structures that help you learn to “walk.” In addition, there are 4 block structures that help you develop your “walking’ skills.

Block can be used at home…

with mixed styles…

and as commercial structures

Leveling- Left to right and front to back Plumbing- Face and ends Measurements- Setting up a job, building according to a blueprint. Finished product- Clean work and good looking mortar joints.
