4 What is a day’s education worth? Speaking of net worth. How much are you getting paid to be here today? Write down a number Over a 40 year working career you would be making about:

5 Value of a Day’s Education Average lifetime earnings for a high school graduate with no other certifications or degrees - $1,200,000 Average lifetime earnings for a college graduate with no other degrees- 2,100,000 Difference = $900,000 Divide $900,000 by 4 years of high school = $225,000

6 Value of a Day’s Education $225,000 earnings per year in high school $225,000 divided by 180 = $1250 (earnings per day at school) $1250 divided by 6 hours per day in class = $208.33 dollars per hour. Summary: $208.33(one hour’s pay) x 180 (days) x 4(years) x 6 hours in class) = $900,000 more over your lifetime.
