The American Civil War was a war between the North and South of the United States. It was a war that lasted from April 12, 1861 to April 9, 1865.

Slavery. Sectionalism. Nationalism and honor. States’ rights. Slave power and free soil issues. Tariffs. Election of Lincoln. Battle of Fort Sumter.

 Abraham Lincoln was the leader of the North.  Jefferson Davis was the leader of the South.

Ulysses S. Grant of the North. Robert E. Lee of the South.

 Eastern Theater of the American Civil War.  Western Theater of the American Civil War.  Trans-Mississippi Theater of the American Civil War.  Pacific Coast Theater of the American Civil War.  Lower Seaboard Theater of the American Civil War.  Category : Battles of the American Civil War.
