Texture

What do I mean?  The way chords and melody is put together  The way composers vary harmony  The way chords and melody is put together  The way composers vary harmony

Monophonic The easiest one to recognise. Why? There is only one melody and NO harmony. The easiest one to recognise. Why? There is only one melody and NO harmony.

Homophony Here the melody and chords move more or less at the same time.

Polyphonic This music is easier to recognize.  There is more than one melody playing at the same time.  It sounds more complex. This music is easier to recognize.  There is more than one melody playing at the same time.  It sounds more complex.

Hetrophonic In hetrophonic music there is one tune played by all the instruments BUT with variation.
