Blackfish – Pre-movie ?s 1.Have you heard of the documentary film “Blackfish?” 2.Based on the title alone, what do you think “Blackfish” is about? 3.What do you know about Sea World? 4.What do you know about killer whales (Orca whales)?

After viewing the trailer 5.After viewing the trailer, do you feel this documentary will be to Persuade, Inform or Entertain? 6.Based on the trailer, do you feel the filmmaker has a bias? If so, what is their bias?

As you watch… Take note of things that you learned for the first time while watching the documentary. Take note of examples where the filmmaker shows their bias. Take note of the sources presented in the documentary. Are they reliable or unreliable? What makes you think so? What do you feel is the filmmaker’s purpose?
