Cell Parts Analogy: Shopping Mall By Cameron Patrick

Shopping Mall

Cell Membrane Cell membrane Mall cop A mall cop is like a cell membrane because they both let important things and keeps harmful things out.

Cytoplasm Oxygen atoms are like the cytoplasm in a cell, they are part of the space between the organelles.

Nucleus The security office is a lot like the nucleus of a cell because they both hold information on running the cell.

Endoplasmic Reticulum Endoplasmic reticulumKitchen The endoplasmic reticulum is like the kitchen of a mall because the kitchen makes the food. The endoplasmic reticulum makes the nutrition for the cell.

Ribosomes Food court The ribosomes distribute the proteins and nutrients while the food courts distribute the food to the costumers.

Nucleolus File storage The nucleolus is like a filing cabinet, it holds and stores information needed to help things throughout the cell.

Mitochondria Generator The mitochondria is the powerhouse of the cell, it produces the energy for the cell.

Golgi Body Golgi body Postal service The golgi body is the shipping center of the cell, it moves things around.

Vacuole Storage rooms The vacuole is an organelle used for the temporary storage of substances. This is the job of a storage center as well.
