2. NUCLEUS:
The nucleus is like the main office of the factory, where all activity is controlled.
It contains the
DNA which gives
the instructions
for making proteins

3. CELL MEMBRANE:
It is like the fence around the factory; it lets things into and out of the factory and provides protection.

4. CYTOPLASM:
It would be like the buildings of the factory – it holds everything – all the organelles.

5. MITOCHONDRIA:
It is the power plant that supplies the energy to the factory.

6. RIBOSOMES:
They are like the machines on the assembly line that put the parts together to make products (proteins) of the factory.

7. ENDOPLASMIC RETICULUM:
It is the pipeline through which supplies (lipids, proteins) are moved through the factory.

8. GOLGI BODIES:
They are the shipping department of the factory; where things (proteins) are packed to be sent out.

9. LYSOSOMES
They are the cleaning crew of the cell; they breakdown (with enzymes) lipids, carbs, proteins, and used up organelles.

10. VACUOLES:
The storage areas in the factory. They store water, salts, proteins, and carbs.

11. CYTOSKELETON
They are the beams that hold up the factory walls or the roads that move things through the factory
