Presentation transcript:

One tradition in my family is that we each have to choose a Christmas story to read. Then on Christmas Eve we read our Christmas stories. We spend time together as a family enjoying traditional Christmas stories and some new ones too.

One December 6 people in Germany celebrate St. Nikolaus’ day. Families have their children clean their shoes and put them outside the front door to be filled with treats.

Both of these traditions are about families spending time together and enjoying each others company. This shows that the real importance of holiday traditions is family and being together.
