2 In Estonia, Christmas is the most cheerful and expected time of year. People are good to each other, everybody is generous and kind.

3 Children put their Christmas socks on the window sill and try to be obedient. At nights, Elves bring sweets and fruits for the children who have been good Children believe in Santa Claus's Elves Elves and everything mysterious…

4 Before Christmas everyone decorates their home wait for Christmas It’s a warm and joyful time of year.

5 Because of white snow, Estonia turnes to a winter wonderland...

6 On 24th of December, Estonians decorate a Christmas Tree. They put candles and decorations on the tree. Estonians can’t imagine Christmas time without a Christmas Tree. On few occasions, they bring it from the woods themselves.

7 Week before Christmas starts a Christmas holiday. Students can enjoy freedom for 2 weeks. It’s a good and relaxing time.

8 Christmas in our country is officially celebrated from 24th-26th December On 24th evening a lot of people go to church and get together with their families. They light candles, make special food and have a good time together. The most beautiful evening is the evening of the 24th December – the Christmas Eve

9 Christmas food is different than everyday food... …

10 … so, what do Estonians eat during the Christmas time... Boiled potatoes …

11 … Blood buding …

12 Sauekraut …...

13 And gingerbread …

14 The most waited moment on Christmas evening… Like a tradition says, if you want to get your presents, you have to say a poem or sing a song. It makes real fun and kind of a concert Before Christmas everybody has bought presents. Usually somebody plays Santa Claus and gives the presents to everyone. And if there isn’t Santa Claus, there are mysterious Elves, who put the presents behind the door or under the Christmas tree.
