What are the importance of the days of the week ?

I write the days ( Wednesday – Monday – Friday - Saturday – Thursday - Sunday - Tuesday ) on large pieces of paper (one day on each piece). * I stick the days on the walls around the class. * I tell pupils that I am going to say the days and they have to point them.

* I get the pupils to focus on the pictures (Pupil’s Book) * In pairs, pupils make lists of all the days of the week they can see in the pictures.

Exercise Look and number * I ask pupils what they can see in the pictures. Then, pupils write the days next to each word.

The teacher of English explains the terms of this unit, discusses its elements and gets pupils to focus on the most important topics which are " The Present Simple tense, the days of the week.. etc.

* Don ’ t forget that days of the week are Saturday – Sunday - Monday – Tuesday- Wednesday – Thursday - Friday * numbers from one to twenty * The present simple express facts and things which I usually do it. * Using the present simple by adding (s) or (es) as ends for the individual verbs, and we don ’ t add any letters for plural verbs, I ask them some questions about the present simple tense.
