What are Joints? The places where the bones come together are called joints. The three joints in your body are called the hinge joints, ball and socket joints, and the pivot joints.

Hinge Joints Your knees, elbows, and fingers contains the hinge joints. It helps your body move. It moves like a hinge.

Ball-and-Socket Joints The ball and socket joints are in your hips and shoulders. It helps you move your hips and shoulders in many ways.

Pivot Joints Your pivot joints are located in your elbow and neck. It helps move your head from side to side.

Double Joints Its real name is Hyper mobility. These joints stretch farther than they are supposed to. It causes flexibility.
