IUScholarWorks Repository Update What is IUScholarWorks Repository? -An open institutional repository for Indiana University scholars -DSpace-based -Only part of the IUScholarWorks brand, along with other pieces such as OJS (Open Journal Systems) -Currently contains 148 communities, 479 collections, and 8895 publically available items -Publicly available at

IUScholarWorks Repository Update DSpace Upgrade --- Finally Complete! -IUSW Repository was ‘stuck’ on Version for quite a long time. -Our instance contained much custom code and the further we got behind, the harder it was to try to catch back up. -Just last month, we finally completed an upgrade to the most current version, DSpace 1.8.2! -Much of the custom code has been eliminated, making future upgrades easier and quicker.

IUScholarWorks Repository Update DSpace – Curation Tools -Curation tools make a variety of administrative tasks easier to accomplish -Custom tools are easy to write and add into the repository -Built-in tools accomplish such tasks as virus checking and file validity checking -See:

IUScholarWorks Repository Update DSpace – Import and Export -New tools make export and import of entire collections and communities very easy -Export (of metadata only or bitstreams as well) can be done directly within the web interface -Import can be accomplished via simple command- line instructions -Import can also update metadata for existing records -Immediately useful for IUSW!
