Value Proposition Beamcaster technology provides businesses with an innovative networking topology to complement, extend and enhance an existing network. It is also suitable for challenging or hazardous network environments or RF sensitive locations.

Value Proposition Beamcaster Technology offers: High-bandwidth, highly-secure, data communication link across indoor open spaces, using Class 1 FDA lasers

Beamcaster Technology - 2 form factors Point to Multipoint (P2M) A single system connects up to 48 users from a single Ethernet link and reduces cabling requirements. Delivers up to 1 Gbps bi-directional, data communication per user. Offers wired and/or localised wi-fi access per user. Ideal for challenging office networking environments or where more bandwidth is required.

How to position Beamcaster Beamcaster technology is an innovative high speed, highly secure data communication link that uses Class 1 FDA approved lasers for indoor use. The lasers are invisible and low powered and safe to be used around people. NOTE: Lasers are now used regularly from teeth cleaning to eye surgery. Beamcaster technology can replace wired or wireless installations and also complement, extend and enhance an existing network. Very little cabling is required. Connection is via a single Ethernet (copper or fiber) connection.

The Beamcaster opportunity Beamcaster technology is very versatile and can easily be used in multiple vertical markets (examples will follow in the presentation) Beamcaster offers the opportunity of new revenue streams from existing and new customers You can sell a Beamcaster system or offer a managed service proposition (and offer a monthly charge option per user) Beamcaster systems are very easy to install and require little training. They are portable and can be moved easily.

Beamcaster Technology - 2 form factors Point to Point (P2P) A set of 2 devices connected to an Ethernet connection provides a 1 Gbps / 10 Gbps, bi-directional, data communication link. Suitable for distances from 1 to 40 metres and beyond when more than 2 devices are connected. Utilising low-power Class 1 FDA lasers for indoor open spaces and confined environments. Ideal for challenging networking environments, RF sensitive areas or where more bandwidth is required.

Point to Multipoint - Network Schematic The network schematic develops to show how up to 48 users can be connected to a single Beamcaster Point to Multipoint system 1.The Beamcaster Optical Distribution Unit (ODU) is connected to a Switch via an Ethernet cable. 2.The ODU is attached to the ceiling.

Point to Multipoint - Network Schematic 3.Up to 8 Smart Outlets (SO) are attached to walls or desk dividers. Note: 5 SO’s are used in this illustration. 4.The invisible line of sight lasers are easily aligned. Included mirrors can be used to divert lasers if required (e.g. low ceilings). 5.Every SO has a 1 Gbps bi-directional data connection with the ODU.

Point to Multipoint - Network Schematic 6. The versatile SO can be connected to an existing network if required. 7. Every SO has 6 x RJ45 to easily connect different devices.

Point to Multipoint - Network Schematic 8. The flexibility of the system provides a 1 Gbps bi-directional link to a PC and/or printer to take large data demands off the existing network. 9. Alternatively, 6 wired PC’s can be connected to each SO to share the link.

Point to Multipoint - Network Schematic 10. Each SO can offer localised wi-fi if required, adding additional flexibility. 11. Up to 48 users can be set up in under 2 hours per system.

Point to MultiPoint Opportunity New office environments Complements and extends an existing Network Sell the system or generate a recurring revenue stream by offering a managed service proposition

1 – 10 Gbps bi-directional data communication link across indoor open spaces. Data link up to 40 metres and beyond when devices are connected together. Highly secure Class 1 FDA Laser. Designed for challenging network environments, hazardous environments and RF sensitive locations where wired or wifi may not be suitable. Note: The Beamcaster laser is invisible.
