To Market We Go Creating Bumper Stickers Why are we doing this? To understand how “catch phrases” sell products and to learn to write better headlines that draw our readers. Got milk?

What is Marketing?  Marketing is ATTRACTING an audience. It’s a form of advertising. It can be accomplished through billboards, commercials, newspaper ads, magazine ads, store fronts, e-commerce, direct mail, or radio.commercials magazine ads  Your assignment is to create a bumper sticker with a catch phrase.

Creating your bumper sticker You must entice them with colors, words, phrases, jingles, rhymes, photos, mascots, logos, humor, coupons, and even surprises. Marketing is a “tough” game because there are so many products “out there” and all manufacturers want THEIR product to sell better than the others! Television and radio are made possible by the “ads”—and advertising—air time–is expensive!

Do you recognize these ads? Got milk? Got milk When you care enough to send the very best We guarantee it will get there overnight It’s the real thing!

More Slogans and Jingles The snack that smiles back! Magically Delicious! mm Good! Where do you want to go today?

CREATE IT! Draw your design on paper first. This will help you “imagine” or “organize” your thoughts. Use the template on the shared folder called bumper sticker. Save it as yourname_bumpersticker to the bumper sticker IN BOX. Use the BIG IDEA BOOK to create fun text using InDesign. Use clip art, lines and shapes to create an original bumper sticker.

A few funny bumper stickers… A balanced diet is a cookie in each hand. A waist is a terrible thing to mind. Always be on time, even if you're late Always use tasteful words. You may have to eat them. Are the voices in my head bothering you? Be nice to your kids. They'll choose your nursing home. Boldly Going Nowhere Caution: I drive like you do

Once you have completed this… We will print these in color. Think outside the box. Think differentThink different. Think!
