 Moving charges through wires makes the wire magnetic.

 Most important devices in modern electronics  It is a temporary magnet made by placing a piece of iron inside a current carrying coil of wire.

 Electromagnets only turn on when there is a current running through the wire  It’s magnetic strength can increase when you add more turns to the wire.

 Measure electric current with an electromagnet  Used in dash board of a car to measure speed, temperature, gas ect.

 Changes electrical energy to mechanical energy  Uses an electromagnet to function properly.  Fans, toys ect.
