Class activity Create groups of three Each write down 20 things that you enjoy doing Pair up; assign an interviewer and interviewee. Third person, take note of interviewer’s counseling conditions. After interview, share observations about each other.

Process experience What did you learn about the interviewee? What did you learn about yourself?

Exploring the problem of understanding the self Describe a personally rewarding accomplishment from any part of your life What subject did you enjoy in school? What hobbies or interest do you have? Describe some absorbing childhood activities. Describe a situation when you really felt energized.

No worries How would your life change if you won a large sum of money? What would you do if you didn’t have to worry about what other people thought or said? If you could have any job you wanted, what would you choose? Imagine that your problem is solved, what would your solution look like?

Strengths in other places This isn’t the first time that you have face problems in your life. I would like to hear some of the times when you were able to overcome challenges and reach a positive solution.
