INTERVIEWS THURSDAY 9 TH MAY To demonstrate interview skills by participating in an interview.

Success Criteria All must participate in an interview as a candidate. All must participate in an interview as an interviewer. Most should be able to independently answer interview questions. Some could be able to evaluate their performance in an interview situation.

Starter activity Look at your neighbour’s appearance. Are they dressed appropriately for an interview. Give them advice about how to ‘smarten up’ their appearance. Fix up, look sharp!

Task In your group, you will play the role of interviewer and interviewee. As the interviewer, you will ask the candidate questions from the sheet you’ve been given. You will make notes of the answers you’re given.

Task You will have 5 minutes to interview each candidate and to make notes on what they say. Everyone on the interview panel should ask at least one question each.

Evaluation of your interview You now need to write a paragraph about how you feel your interview went. Consider: What went well? Were you able to answer all of the questions? What were your strengths? What were your weaknesses? How could you have improved your performance?

Homework Create a poster that highlights ‘Dos and Don’ts’ for interviews. Due: Tuesday 14 th May
