Moon landing: did it happen? By Helena and Kim

FootPrints Why does the dust clump together? Wouldn’t they have disappeared? Lunar dust isn’t like sand. The particles are small and rough. They haven’t been smoothed down like sand on earth so when i9t is compressed by a heavy object like a boot the particles will grip together and retain its shape. Even without water!

Flying the flag The film of the American flag on the moon seems to be fluttering. How is this possible when there is no wind/atmosphere on the moon? The flag had a horizontal bar attached to it at the top. This was to stop from going limp. The bar was also not quite the full width of the flag, so that it was slightly furled to give a ‘wave look’ to it.

Buzz Aldrin Photo. The photo of Buzz Aldrin was taken by Armstrong. The camera was carrying was mounted on his chest. So why does the photo appear to be taken from above Aldrin? The answer to this is quite straight forward. The ground on the moon was not flat. Armstrong was stood higher than Aldrin.

The ‘C’ rock Why is there a picture of a rock with a letter ‘c’ written on it? People who believe the moon landing was fake, they think that every rock on the ‘faked’ landscape were labelled starting at ‘A’. The photo was a copy which was contaminated by a tiny hair along the way. C

Shadow Length If the sun is the only light source on the moon why are there photos were shadows are different lengths? One some photos where there are 2 astronauts the shadows are different lengths. This is because there are slopes on the moon and one astronaut is higher than the other. This means that one shadow would be longer.
