II. New State Governments A.After the D of I--States set up governments B.Some states created branches to stop any group from getting too much power C. Some states create Bill of Rights (modeled after he English Bill of Rights,1689) D. ALL states are a republic form of government—people have the power

III. Articles of Confederation A.1776 Continental Congress decided: 1. National government should be a republic But still had questions regarding: 2. How should states vote? 3. Who controls land west of the Appalachians? (National government or individual states)
