We provide leadership and business acumen coaching programs or one off sessions to address a particular issue as well as coaching against the 11 capabilities assessed within the BA gauge. We advise businesses on how to maximise people output in response to ongoing incessant change and disruption and work with them on leadership and people strategies to support their business vision.. What we do Our focus at Productive people is to help you to develop productive and self responsible leaders who are strategically aligned, focussing on what’s important and performing as expected in their role. The capabilities associated with the execution of strategy are not well understood and the specific factors associated with success are unique to each organisation. Business Acumen is fundamental to executing strategy. So what is business acumen? It is the ability to know and demonstrate the the key attributes of your role that allow you to succeed in business. Whilst leaders have been rated against business acumen for years until now there has been no effective and objective way to measure it. Our Business acumen tool is a multi rater on line assessment tool which will focus your leaders on what is Important in their role, identify their current capabilities and development needs. It also provides the opportunity for realignment for the participant and the organisation, to gain role clarity, and have informed discussions. Productive people work with you to conduct the business acumen gauge and provide one on one debriefs to participants and also offer ongoing coaching programs and advisory services on people and learning strategies and leadership.

The 11 Business Acumen capabilities are based on information drawn from a number of sources, including extensive academic literature and industry research, multiple phases of testing, expert and face validity with business leaders in multiple organisations and a comparative database in excess of 1,000 executives. The Business Acumen Gauge is an online assessment completed by participant (as a self assessment) and by respondents as nominated by the participant (this may include Manager, Peers, Reports) and provides a point in time snapshot of: The importance of each of the 11 capability in participants role; and How well participants demonstrate each capability in their role currently. The extensive report produced is a comprehensive picture of multiple perspectives of the participants business acumen. It is accompanied by a personal debrief and a user guide. Measure Your Success ©Productive People Our coaches are all accredited business coaches and have an extensive skills in business or people leadership. They work with organisations and individuals to improve leadership capabilities, develop and enhance strategic thinking, provide advice and support for career development and increase confidence and motivation. In conjunction with the business acumen gauge we also offer targeted coaching in each of the 11 capability areas, to move their thinking from operational to strategic, provide a sounding board for complex issues and help them in becoming a thought leader in their organisation. We work one on one with individuals and provide a supportive and confidential environment. We also offer a structured on boarding coaching experience for new and transitioning employees to assist them through the critical first three months Coaching Leadership coaching We work with individuals to improve their leadership skills, change behaviours, work thought difficult issues, prepare for career advancement or provide a sounding board for ideas. Business acumen coaching We provide one on one coaching to develop and support participants post the business acumen gauge assessment, we can provide them with advice and strategies on their identified development areas and across all of the BA 11 capability areas. Onboading (accelerated integration program) We provide a structured coaching and on-boarding program for new and transitioning employees which will support the individual in their new role and ensure that the organisation gets immediate value from the new placement. Based on a cultural alignment process, a series of structured coaching sessions prior to start and through out the three months and establishing a 90 days plan ( KPI goals) with the organisation and individual. OUR FOUNDER JEANNETTE LANG Strategist and People leadership expert Jeannette has over 20 years’ experience in senior management and executive positions across the full spectrum of people management in the workplace including Human Resources, Organisational Development, Change Management, Learning and Employee Relations. Jeannette has worked both nationally and internationally across 14 industries and is an accredited business coach (Neuro science) and counsellor. She was a Commissioner for the State of Victoria, Australia, in Skills and Education and currently chairs Sustainability Victoria’s people and culture group. Jeannette has been involved in over 65 company start ups, over 200 transition projects, joint venture set ups and mergers and acquisitions over her career. She is an accredited practitioner of a number of assessment tools including DISC, Prosci change, and the Business Acumen Gauge as well as being a certified trainer and Assessor. Jeannette is commercially astute and understands the drivers of business. Jeannette and her team are passionate about ensuring business success through behavioural change and believe that all people interventions should be directly linked to business strategy and measured.
