Kayla Cowboy September 2, 2011 Class: B

Mike came into the classroom, thinking he will ace this class, but then he found out that the teacher was meaner than all of the other teachers. He also found out that in this class he will take way more notes then he ever did. Mike was not prepared for this class and he thought he was the best student, but of course he was not. As soon as the class started the teacher introduced himself and told the students they will be taking notes and the next day there would be a quiz on the notes. Mike learned in that class that it takes responsibility to keep up in that class. In addition, he also learned that writing is way more than at his old school.

The very next day, he learned how to stay out of summer school. The first, is be prepared and have all books, homework completed, and study for the tests and quizzes. Second, go to class and sit in the front by the teacher’s board instead, of the very back seat. Third, write all the notes down whatever the teacher says and after review the notes in case there is a test on the notes. Fourth/fifth listen and take good notes such as, rewrite notes as a study help and organize your notes. Finally, use your study buddy, but do not fall in love and get emotional. Mike followed all these rules and the teacher was actually impressed with Mike.

Mike took notes almost every day for the rest of the semester. The one notes that Mike really liked was the five pillars. It said, motivation which is believe you can do it. Attitude changes the world and surround yourself with positives attitudes. The tools was to be prepared and take all the objects that he needed for that class. Perserance is that he got to finish and have well planned risks. Last of all, set yourself up to win. All of the five pillars where true to Mike and he believed in all of them. Every night Mike would study all of his notes and would be ready when ever there was a pop up quiz. Mike impressed his teacher, Mr. Morris.

This semester, Mr. Morris was beginning to think that this kid is actually not that bad. Mike was totally focused on this class and of course the other classes as well, but it seems that Mike enjoyed this class better. Every day he felt confident that he would be a great students for next year because he was only a seventh grader. As the class, ends to its period Mike get a little sad because he always looks forward to go to Mr. Morris’s classroom. The other day the teacher asked if Mike could stay after class so, he could talk with him. In addition, the teacher said how are you doing so great in one of my hardest classes, Mike responded and said that he was just following all the notes he takes everyday.

As the year went great for Mike, he was also acing this writing class. In addition, Mike always felt confident when he step through that door to his favorite class. On his report cards it always had to say wonderful things about Mike and how he keeps up in his school work and homework. Mike’s parents were always glad to push him and teach him how to be responsible. Mike really enjoyed his school, but most of all he enjoyed feeling how great it feels to get a straight A’s on every report card he gets. Mike always dreamed of holding the world record of how many straight A’s he got in a row. In addition, so far he had straight A’s ever since he started school.

Another note that he likes was the how to cheat legally. The note said to ask questions, read directions carefully, and talk to other students about the class. Every day he followed all the noted and probably he could memorize the notes that he studies ever night and morning. The other note was how to become a ninja. The four rules were pain before gain, which is do all the work before you play in the sandbox. In addition, responsibility, use resources as talking to teachers, taking tutors, and call the teacher’s cell phone or call their home phone if you have any questions about the homework or anything else. The last is, that reality check and it will take time because you cannot become a ninja over night.

As the year ended, Mike grew sadder because he loved going to school everyday, in fact Mike never missed a day. The teachers started to tell the students to study for their exams which were coming soon. In addition, Mike was studying for his exams since the seconded semester. His teachers were very impressed of how Mike really loved school and how he works at it with all his heart. Mike’s parents grew happier everyday because they were proud of the work he was putting his time into afterschool. Mike stayed afterschool and he joined the afterschool program in the beginning of the school year. Mike was so excited for his exams that he studied every night even if he had a lot to do that night.

Mike was so proud of the way he changed, in the beginning Mike never loved school and he would always hate it. In addition, now he loves going to school and seeing Mr. Morris. The year was getting close to the exam week and Mike would study for the exam review every single night, even if he had to travel to Albuquerque that evening. Today, was the day that Mike would take his first exam for the end of the school year. In addition, he also took all of his exams throughout the school year. In the end, when he got his exam grades, Mike was really proud if himself for making the highest G.P.A level and that he actually made it through his first year at his school.

That summer, Mike was bummed that the school year was over. In addition, he decided to go check the mail and there it was the mail he was waiting for since the last day of school. He ran into his house excited than ever and told his parents that he got the letter. His parents rushed down stairs to the living room, where Mike was, and sat impatiently. In addition, they asked him if he was going to go onto eighth grade. Mike opened the letter very suspicious and excited, but then he could not wait do he hurried up and read the letter out loud. The letter said congratulations Mike Collins you have been accepted into the eighth grade class.

The next year, Mike came into the classrooms with a positive attitude and confidence. He told himself the night before that he would follow his notes every night just like he did in his seventh grade year. In addition, Mike was the most important student that really cared about his grades and how his future would end up. Mike’s parents would talk to him almost every month that he needs to be a better students than he was in seventh grade. Mike did not think it was possible until he tried it and it was true that he could become a better student than last year. From today, and in the future Mike had become a legend and history.
