What is being a Christian really about?

So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, “We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.” Luke 17v10.

Jesus replied, “no one who puts his hand to the plough and looks back is fit for service in the kingdom of God.” Luke 9v62

His master replied “well done good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” Mat 25v21

For no one can lay a foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. If any man builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay, or straw, his work will be shown for what it is, because the day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each man’s work. If what he has built survives he will receive his reward. If it is burned up, he will suffer loss; he himself will be saved, but only as one escaping through the flames. 1 Corinthians 3v11-15

Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning like men waiting for their master to return... Luke 12v35 It will be good for those servants whose master finds them ready Luke 12v38
