Be dressed ready for service and keep your lamps burning, like servants waiting for their master to return from a wedding banquet, so that when he comes and knocks they can immediately open the door for him. It will be good for those servants whose master finds them watching when he comes.
Truly I tell you, he will dress himself to serve, will have them recline at the table and will come and wait on them.

The rights of an apostle:
v4: to enjoy their hospitality
v5: to bring your wife with you
v6: to be paid!
A solid argument in favour of those rights:
v7: These rights come with the job
v8-10 The OT Law supports it
v11-12: He planted their church in the first place!
v13: This is just how it works
v14: Jesus said it
