24/02/2016Footer text 3 Desire lines:- Tracks that have evolved by riding/walking on the open forest floor/moor/field, with no effort to improve by construction or vegetation management. Desire lines may still need a one off decision if they are detrimental to our management needs and respond according to risk. Wild Trail;- Trails that have some degree of construction/vegetation management from simple ground level berms and tree brashing to specifically built timber structures. Brief Overview – we have time to discuss!!!! A.Adopt and inspect - monitored as a formal recreation facility OGB 42 B.Intervene and make safe - examine standards and make changes, employ site rules C.Tolerate and monitor – where others are not at risk D.Closure and removal – risks are too great and trail will need to be de – commissioned – thought needed on approach.
