Who are we United Way Volunteer Center Mobilized more than 9,800 volunteers in 2013 to make a difference in the Greater Toledo area. Works closely with local groups and corporations to offer team building opportunities through volunteerism and assists with maximizing the impact made through volunteerism. What is Global Youth Service Day Largest annual service event in the world. Saturday, April 12, 2014 Locally, more than 2,000 volunteers participate in a service project on one day. Engages youth ages 5-25 and their families. Concludes with an appreciation lunch and program at The Toledo Zoo.
