How do we keep the cost of our tuition down? FUNDRAISING

What happens to the money we raise each year?  We have a commitment to the parish to raise $50,000 each year.  With any of the funds beyond this, we have provided various things to our school and teachers: Supplies for the Teacher Wish Lists(Benchmarking-Scholastic, Music Books-3 rd -6 th ) Upgrades to the kitchen( fryers, coffee pots, silverware, etc) Computers/IPADS/Mimios/Cameras/Technology IPAD Cart Help with the cost of the Sound System in the basement Field trip money for bus costs Teacher Appreciation Wood chips for the playground Upgrades to the playground Help with the cost of a New Sign on the building End of the Year Laminator

What are our fundraisers?  In past years we have had so many more throughout the year:  Kringle Sale/Cookie DoughGarden Market  Yankee Candle Sale2 nd Sunday Brunches(Community Center)  Rada Cutlery SalePapa Murphy  That’s My PanCulvers  Dinner AuctionFish Fries  Pizza SaleBrat Fries  Flower SaleScrip  Calendar Raffle

This past year we reduced our fundraisers to just a few:  Dinner Auction (in the fall)  Pizza Sale(in the winter)  Fish Fries(Feb.-April)  Flower Sale (Spring)  Scrip(Year Round)

We would like to lessen this even more but we can only do this with your help!  For the School Year the following are our Commitments as a Home and School:  All families will help with the Dinner Auction and Fish Fries this year.  Dinner Auction: 1 family member joins one of the committees(for families new to DSCS, you will be paired up with the committee your mentor family is on)  Fish Fries: Each family works four shifts(this has not changed from past years)(Schedule choices will be out before Christmas)  In addition, each family will do one revenue and one non revenue event. Revenue : Pizza Sale, Beer and Wine Tasting, Scrip, Combined Fish Fry with Fire Department Non Revenue : Room Parent, Donut Sunday, Book Fair, Grandparent’s Day, K5/6 th grade graduation, Butterfly Garden, Health Screenings, Recruitment and Retention Committee, Education Committee, Veteran’s Day, Parade Floats
