4 Caleb’s Creek Promotional Events 2012-2013 Caleb’s Creek Fall Festival – October 19 Our annual fall festival is our first family fun night of the year. It is complete with hayride, cake walk, chili cook-off, cupcake decorating contest, pumpkin carving contest, a parents vs. teachers flag football game, big wheel races, a tire roll and bounce houses. This theme of our 2011 festival is NASCAR. Holiday Program – December 6 Our annual Holiday Program features the musical talents of our 2 nd and 5th graders. Run for Reading 5K and Fun Run (Third Annual) – March 2 Students, staff and their families are encouraged to participate in our annual Run for Reading 5K and Fun Run. Members of the community also come out in support. All proceeds raised go to purchase classroom literacy needs. Our 5K is one day after Read Across America day. Earth Day – April 22 The students of Caleb’s Creek learn about ways to preserve our environment and make a difference in our world. Croc Fest – April 26 Croc Fest is our annual spring family fun night. Bounce houses, musical entertainment, a DJ, corn hole and other carnival games give our kids a chance to have fun before they start reviewing for the EOG’s (end of grade testing). Students enjoy all the games and food for free! Clubs - Service Club sponsored by Kiwanis, Lego/Science Club, Student Fit Club, Lunch Bunch Book Club (grades 3-5) Hospitality Sponsor - New Parent Breakfast Healthy Student Initiative – November – Weekly prizes will be awarded to children showing healthy initiatives. Patron of the Arts - Art Showcases, Musical Performances, Author visits, a poetry slam, a play or guest storyteller

5 Other Ways to Partner Friends of Caleb’s Creek Any organization to make donation less than $50 Organizations that provide volunteers for Study Buddies Tutoring Program, Lunch Buddies or Student Clubs. One of the most important things in a child’s life is having a mentor. Mentoring a child can be a most rewarding experience. Businesses that collect aluminum cans and/or terracyclables (recyclable items) and donate to school. These items can be redeemed and raise actual funds for our students!
