Looney Tunes Charles Martin “Chuck” Jones was born September 21, 1912 Moved to Southern California where he observed the film industry His parents encouraged artistic abilities in their children Jones dropped out of high school to attend Chouinard Art Institute Found work at Warner Bros. but went to Disney after Warner Bros. was shut down Left Disney after four months and created his own studio Looney tunes became popular because of their ability to cross cultures and classes They represented freedom of expression to everyone including underdogs Mainly satire
