Grouping & Tracking Grouping- Math & Reading Reading- grouped according to the student’s running reading record from the previous year. They compare that record to the one they do on the child. Then they decide on the child’s placement. Math- grouping is done based on test scores and work/testing the teacher does with the child. Grouping is very flexible and movements occur frequently. All the 3 rd grade teacher’s decide on it together.

Responsibilities of Administrators The Principal, Christy Dowell, has been at Ritta Elementary School since She is over grades Kindergarten, 2 nd, and 4 th. The Assistant Principal, Jamie Snyder, has been at Ritta Elementary School since She is over grades 1 st, 3 rd, and 5 th. The Principal and Vice Principal splits the responsibilities 50/50.

Teacher’s Perspective The responsibilities outside of classroom planning are just as important as classroom planning. Each of their responsibilities has a direct effect on the student’s and makes the school run more efficiently. No small responsibilities. All have a say in the decision making process of the school.
