It’s time to start training for Rio! Only 12 months to go….we need to start getting ready!

Could you compete in the Olympics in the future? Or reach whatever your own dreams are? Who says ‘Yes’? Who says ‘No’? He who says he can and he who says he can’t are both usually right. (Confucius)

Friendship The athletes at the Olympic and Paralympic Games will make lots of new friends. How can you apply this value to games this week?

Respect We should respect each other, just like athletes respect their opponents. Even though they are Competing against each other, all athletes demonstrate fair play. How can you demonstrate fair play?

Excellence Excellence is about how to give your best, on the field of play or in school. Go for it! Reach for YOUR best!

Determination Athletes are very determined and try very hard to do their best. It is much easier to give up than it is to carry on at something which is physically and mentally demanding. What could you say to yourself when you feel like giving up?

Courage Olympians and Paralympians show a lot of courage. Many of the events require them to push their bodies to the limits and eliminate any fears.

Equality Every athlete has the right to be treated fairly and equally. Treat everyone, no matter what their ability, with equal respect!

Inspiration Olympic and Paralympic athletes have been inspired by others and now they hope to inspiring us. How could you inspire others?
