How do organisms get their energy?  All living things need energy to grow, change, hunt, reproduce, produce wastes, and maintain their life span  Not.
The Food Chain.
 an organism that makes its own food  an organism that eats other living things to get energy.

Rocks and Minerals by Francisco Viramontes Shared with permission.

Rocks Rocks have a lot of different colors. Rocks have different shapes. Rocks have different sizes; some are big, some are little.

Rocks Some rocks are made in volcanoes. Some rocks are made in rivers. Some rocks are made underground. Some rocks are made under the mountains.

Minerals Rocks are made of minerals. Some rocks are made from one mineral. Some rocks are made of two or more minerals.

by Francisco

Plants They take energy from the sun and soil. They make their own food.

Animals Some animals eat plants. Deer, horses, turtles, and birds eat plants.

Carnivores Meat eaters are carnivores. Lions, T-Rex, cats, and dogs are carnivores.

Decomposers Decomposers eat dead plants and animals. Worms are decomposers.
