Puberty:  The Puberty is where the body of boys and girls take characteristics that define them sexually.  One of the first signs of Puberty is the growth of hair in the armpits and the pubis.  These changes are associated with the hormones:  Estrogen = girls’ hormone.  Testosterone = boys’ hormone.

How the body changes: BOYS’ BODYGIRLS’ BODY Boys gain weight.Girls gain weight (especially on the hips) Shoulders get wider.Bodies become curvier and hip bones widen. Voice changes.Breasts start to develop. Penis gets longer and wider.Menstruation (periods) starts. Testicles get larger.Muscles get bigger and stronger.
