PIZZA FRACTIONS  Pizzas are a great way to see Fractions.  We cooked pizzas that had 5 pieces.  There were 5 people to eat 1 pizza.  Each person got 1/5 of a pizza.  If we had 10 people in our group, we would need to cut each piece in half. Then we would each get 1/10 of the pizza.

Measuring Jelly  Open 1 packet of jelly and pour into a measuring jug.  Pour in 1 metric cup (250ml) of BOILING hot water.  Stir until jelly crystals dissolve.  Add 200ml of COLD water.  Stir to mix it all together.  Pour into plastic cups.  Put it in the fridge till it sets.  EAT! SCIENCE AND MATHS COMBINED

Jelly for all! What if 100 people wanted YUMMY jelly? A packet of jelly serves 4 people. To feed 100 people jelly you would need to times the whole recipe by 25. You would need 5000mls of cold water that is 25 metric cups or 5 litres. WOBBLY What if we had to serve 8 people WOBBLY jelly? You would times the whole recipe by 2. That is 2 packets of Jelly and 500mls of boiling water.
