Center on PBIS The TA Center on Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports has been established by the Office of Special Education Programs, US Department of Education to give schools capacity-building information and technical assistance for identifying, adapting, and sustaining effective school-wide disciplinary practices.

State Implementation and Scaling up Evidence-based Practices SISEP The purpose of the State Implementation and Scaling up Evidence-based Practices (SISEP) Center is to help States establish adequate capacity to carry out effective implementation, organizational change, and systems transformation strategies to maximize the academic achievement and behavioral health outcomes of students statewide.

10,000 Schools 90,000 to go!! “SW PBS- The most broadly implemented of all Evidence Based practices in education and in all of human services” Fixsen APBS 2009 Bundled set of best practices Organized in a tiered framework Data is King Systems to support staff Critical !!!!

Lessons Learned from Fixsen 2009 APBS I live in a zone of complexity where there are wicked problems- that is problems that are always changing so are never solved… I fight back against the system and shadow system, which makes me devious- This existing system is powerful, the people in it are the ones who survived it and the leadership wants outcomes fast, good and cheap!

Transformation Specialists Office Staff, Instructional Assistants, Teachers, Families, Support Staff, Special Educators, Day Care and Pre- school, Team Members, Team Leaders, MH Partners, SRO, Administrators, Coaches, External Coaches, Coach Coordinators, Trainers, District Coordinators, Executive Leadership, Regional Coordinators, State Coordinators, Local and State Board, Union Representatives, Superintendents, National Implementers, Researchers, Policy Makers, Elected officials etc.
