Title I Project Approval – Projects due July 1 – If an approvable plan is submitted, a budget may be loaded in finance, activities may be commenced and expenditure reports submitted – Final allocations determined in October – Final approval given

Title III ESOL Services Title III Services

Title III Use of Funds – Supplement, not supplant – Must first provide core language instruction ESOL recommended teacher to student ratios – 1:60

Migrant Education Expanding services to include Migrant students who are in school during the school year (priority of service) Reduction in the amount of funds historically received by the 6 summer programs Requirement to serve Pre-K children

Homeless Education Expanding the availability of funds to include more districts May be an in-kind matching requirement on a sliding scale

ESEA Waiver Update Final Amendment Submitted for Principle 2 – SES And Choice eliminated – USED concerns addressed Extension Request being finalized – Will include request to freeze AMOs for ELA and Math for grades 3 through 8
