Summary Tony, a household robot, was recently tested out by Claire. He seemed more like a human than a machine. On the second morning, he brought her breakfast and asked her whether she needed help dressing, which was embarrassing. One day, he offered sympathy to her and gained her trust. He promised to help her make herself smarter and her home more elegant. He gave her a new haircut and changed the makeup she wore. He helped her to deal with the rude shop clerk through telephone. He managed to catch her in time when she fell off a ladder. He suggested that she invite the woman she admired to her house. At the night of the party, he had opened the window to let the women guests see him and her together so that she would be envied. Tony did a good job in the three weeks with Claire. However, he had to be rebuilt because the company couldn’t have women falling in love with machines. _________________ ______________ ___________________________ ___________________ ______ _______ _____________ _________________ ____ ________ ____________ ____ _______ ________ _______________
