Immune system bingo

In your spaces, enter the following words in any order you wish: - Integumentary System- Plasma Cell - Skin- Memory Cell (B or T) - Pathogen- Histamines - Inflammatory Response- Helper T Cell - Saliva, mucus, and tears- Macrophage - Fever- Circulatory System - Antibodies- B Cell - Antigens- Cytotoxic T Cell

 The largest organ in the body and the first line of defense against illness and injury.

 Body fluids that contain enzymes that break down bacterial cell walls.

 Bind to infected body cells and destroy them.

 Released by mast cells, cause increased blood flow to an infected area.

 The body system composed of the skin, hair, and nails.

 Causes an infected area to become red and painful.

 Increased body temperature. Causes some pathogens to slow down or stop growth.

 Activate B cells, activate cytotoxic T cells, and produce memory T cell. They are themselves activated by binding to a macrophage.

 Consumes pathogens and displays their antigen on their surface. Also activate helper T cells.

 Any foreign substance that can trigger an immune response.

 Specific to an antigen. Tag the antigen for destruction.

 Produce plasma cells and memory B cells.

 Any disease-causing agent.

 Works along with the lymphatic system to transport the immune responses to the infections.

 Release antibodies.

 Have been created to “remember” an infection and respond more quickly than normal B and T cells.
